What's up with vape temps? What's best?

Totally newbie to vaping. Hope this is a good topic, since its related to dry vapes. I've done a bunch of research over the past weeks - Troy your videos and articles have been SUPER helpful and funny. Plus lots of stuff from other reviewers and knowledgable folks. But it seems everybody's vape temps are all over the place versus my expectations based on boiling points and flower combustion level. I assumed some variability based on vaporizer models, and differences between conduction and convection with the latter being lower do to element proximity. Plus variance with moisture content of flower.

I have no problem with vapor clouds and effects at lower temps with my solo 2. For example, with CBD flowers I can start at 340 and make my way to 360 over time. I go 370-375 and above to finish off and stop once there's no more output. But I just saw the Aria review where you are vaping CBD at the max temp of 444 and I can't understand how that is not absolutely toasting the flower in a conduction oven. That's pretty close to combustion point from what I've read. Once I get to even 400 with my solo things start to taste really toasty, so at a loss. Unless its because I am finishing at that level and a lot of the moisture is already gone.

This article below has temp scales and vaporization points and talks about lower temperatures, but then has a quote from a researcher saying 210C (410F) is the ideal(!) point. So what's up? Is all this stuff subjective and I should just keep experimenting to find what's right for me? Am I an outlier because the Solo 2 is super efficient? Am I doin' it wrong? Am I missing out on benefits not starting and ending at higher temps? An inquiring mind would like to know.

P.S. I think you could make a great video or live stream forum discussion on this topic

Each vape is going to be a little flexible on temps, depending on where they measure the temp from and how they measure it. I am afraid you will have to convert the numbers but anywhere lower than 190c and you won't get much cbd etc so it will be more of a high high if you understand? Whereas when you go higher you will get some wider range of cannabinoids starting to include cbd etc. It depends how and what sort of high you want. Generally day time you want lower temps and evening higher temps for the couchlock vibe. That's why people run vapes through water so they can have the temp up, to get the full (sinclair lol) spectrum of cannabinoids. Hope that helps!

With the solo and more conduction over convection, I'm definitely noticing good production at lower temps. The Fury Edge seems to like a higher setting to get the same production, by 10-15F. At some point I think I may play around and try to test the actual temps I'm getting in the ovens - my BBQ temp sensor (ambient) will probably be able to sit inside the straight glass of both vapes even while inhaling. Be interesting to look at actual temp versus on screen and also track vapor production as well as effects across the spectrum.
