My RIFT Review

HI EVERYBODY!

Randy from PuffItUp here with some thoughts on the RIFT.

This is a pre-production unit and changes to the design are still in the works. I love seeing new vaporizer concepts and we have to respect any company for thinking outside of the box. Battery life is subjective however after a few weeks I'm getting around 35 minutes session and 10-ish rips on demand (this is on the highest pre-set temperature). Weight is 5.4 oz. I'm packing roughly .1 grams

Things I like:

- On demand usage is fantastic

- Vapor production is as big or as small as you want it to be. I can get a massive cloud from this vape

- Air-path is isolated from the electronics as far as I can tell

- The air-path is nice and long

- Build feels nice and solid

- Crisp display

- Easy enough to operate. Usually after dialing in my temperature I would keep it on that setting and just use the top button for operation

- Very pocket friendly

Things that could use a second look:

- Mouthpiece flips upside down and stores inside the vape. Cool idea but you also have to turn the mouthpiece around to do this. It didn't feel very intuitive

- Screen that fits on the door comes off easily. The haze v3 used to do the same thing if you didn't keep it clean. I know the solution is to keep the vape clean but we have to assume not everyone will do that.

- With my RIFT, it feels like the door could latch on better

The RIFT does get hot which shouldn't be a surprise, dual heating elements in a vaporizer this small is going to radiate heat. The three chamber design makes sense for quick heating because it covers more surface area however I think this would keep me from using wax in this vape. It's just easier to pack this vape with herb... Loading and cleaning the RIFT is easier than I was expecting. I'm going to keep the RIFT in my rotation and posting thoughts. It's too soon to form a final opinion about the RIFT however I do enjoy the user experience and am excited to see the final build.

-Randy

Great feedback sir!

I'm really happy to see such thorough testing.
Also glad you're using it in on-demand mode!

I met with the engineers yesterday and they showed me a few improvements that will be made to the next batch of units.
- screen improvements to prevent it from falling off
- improved mouthpiece seal/latch
