Cannabis Hardware Ball Vapes & Coils

Cannabis Hardware is a leading manufacturer of dry herb vaporizers, ball vapes, and cannabis extraction devices.

They specialize in USA-made titanium ball vapes and aluminum coil housings. They’re located in Florida and they make all of their vaporizers and metal accessories in-house.

Cannabis Hardware’s cordless ball vape designs were the “inspiration” for dozens of clones and imitators. They continue to push boundaries and innovate. I’m a fan!

This review will maintain the current Cannabis Hardware offerings, as well as an archive of their past ball vapes.

ZenLeaf Cordless Ball Vapes & Coil Housings

Cannabis Hardware joined the Cordless Ball Vape Revolution with a luxury line of coil housings and ball vapes! These heavy-duty desktop vaporizers are the ultimate end-game cannabis experience for both dry herb and dabbing concentrates.

The ZenLeaf housings originally came in FIVE different configurations to cater to all levels of cannabis connoisseur. These coil housings serve as the main base and heater for both dry herb vaping and dabbing.

ZenLeaf uses a 25mm axial coil and will heat a standard quartz banger or any of the cordless ball vapes.

Zenleaf Fusion Desktop Vaporizer with Cordless Ball Vapes and quartz banger accessories

Shown above: The ZenLeaf Fusion with two independently controlled 25mm coils and a badass aluminum housing. The housings feature utility wells for holding bows, bangers, or cordless ball vapes while not in use. The giant center well is large enough to hold a big grinder or serve as a general-purpose tool storage.

Future of Desktop Vaporizers

DabReady first introduced the stationary coil approach to e-nails, and the cordless ball vape came shortly after. The concept of a stationary coil has become popular with enthusiasts and connoisseurs.

How Cordless Desktop Vaporizers Work

The exposed coil gets hot. Very hot. Don’t touch it.

In the mood for Dabs? The coil heats a standard 25mm quartz banger and keeps it racked and ready. Traditional 25mm bucket bangers are a great option for dabbing at home.

Vaping Flower? The coil heats either of the cordless ball vapes and keeps them hot and ready to vape! These cordless desktop vapes can switch back and forth with ease.

Before this style of desktop vaporizer, vapes were either good at vaping flower or good at dabs. No vaporizer, desktop or portable, excelled at both dabs and dry herb.

This format changes everything.  The coil heats a standard quartz banger or a cordless ball vape – both pinnacles of performance.  Ball vapes are the hardest-hitting and best-tasting dry herb vaporizers currently available.

Switching between dry herb and concentrates is as simple as replacing the banger with the vape head, or vice versa. Most of the Zenleaf housings even feature storage wells to hold everything while not in use!.

ZenLeaf Base Options

Originally, the series of cordless ball vapes and housings was referred to as ZenLeaf. It looks like Cannabis Hardware is retiring this line in favor of the MOAB.

ZenLeaf Fusion

ZenLeaf Fusion - Dual PID and Dual Coil housing
  • Dual Built-in PID
  • Dual Coil Housings
  • $678

The Fusion is the ultimate desktop housing. Two powered coils to keep both vape heads hot and ready, or one vape head and one banger, or even two bangers!

The Fusion for serious cannabis connoisseurs and professionals.

Top View of the Zenleaf Fusion Dual Coil Housing

The Top View of the ZenLeaf Fusion Dual Coil Housing shows its various storage utilities. The giant circular well in the center is large enough for an extra-large grinder or a debowler. I like storing my marbles and other roll-aways there. The four circular holes near the corners will hold 25mm quartz buckets or the cordless ball vape heads.  There are also 4 threaded holes to mount traditional ball vape stands and posts.

Current Cordless Ball Vapes

The ZenLeaf cordless ball vapes are designed to stay hot while resting in the housing. The wooden handles allow the hot heads to be removed, used, and replaced after each hit.

Mercury vs Venus // Diffuser vs Injector

This is a classic ball vape battle of preferences.

These two vapes have different bowl compatibilities, as well as different vapor flavors and different effects.

Venus is the Injector – this is a full convection vaporizer. Convection vaporizers use hot air to heat the herb and create vapor.  Convection vapes typically taste brighter and more flavorful than conduction and hybrid vaporizers.

Mercury is the Diffuser – this style of ball vape makes a metal-to-metal connection to the bowl and instantly heats the bowl. This additional heat makes the ball-powered convection even more powerful and adds additional potency and flavor. The added conduction extracts more efficiently but also delivers a more sedative and stony high.

I’m in love with the hybrid vapor flavor and potency of diffuser-style vaporizers, like the Mercury.

Aether: Terp Chaser + CH Collab

Cannabis Hardware recently collaborated with Terp Chasers Club to release a cordless ball vape together.

The Aether has a quartz-lined ball chamber, just like the Terp Chaser Universal Baller. The Universal Baller’s all-glass vapor path gives it an unrivaled flavor. The Aether’s all-glass vapor path uses the same quartz insert and high-airflow quartz disc as the Universal Baller.

Aether Ball Vape (Cordless)

The Universal Baller is the highest rated ball vape on my list of Best Ball Vapes. The glass vapor path, combined with the metal thermal housing, gives this style of vaporizer an incredibly flavorful vapor.

I’m still working on my Aether Review. Several community members state that their Aether outperforms their Universal Baller! The Aether is a cordless ball vape, the Universal Baller can be used corded or cordless.

The Aether is available at Cannabis Hardware and Terp Chasers Club. The Universal Baller is a Terp Chasers Club product. Click here to see my Universal Baller Review.

Archived Cannabis Hardware Products

The Cannabis Hardware lineup is ever evolving. They’re innovators. This archive isn’t meant to serve as a complete history of their products, but a snapshot of recent models that have led to the current lineup.

Old CH Cordless Ball Vapes

These were Cannabis Hardware’s very first cordless ball vapes. Mary and Jane sparked a forest fire of clones and copycats Mary and Jane were filled with 3mm or 4mm ruby balls. Both used a 25mm coil as a heat source.

Mary Diffuser Head

ZenLeaf Mary Cordless Diffuser Ball Vape Head

Mary is made to fit the 22mm Shovelhead bowl. This cordless ball vape slips over the titanium bowl and heats the bowl conductively, adding extraction power and a more roasted flavor.

Mary will only work with the Shovelhead bowl or bowls of similar design.

Jane Injector Head

ZenLeaf Jane Injector Head - cordless ball vape with eds tnt handle

Jane is an 18mm injector-style vape and will work with a variety of standard 18mm injector bowls.

Jane is a full convection ball vape.

Jane will also work with the Shovelhead bowl, but it doesn’t transfer much heat, and the bowl can only be half-filled.

No Longer Available CH Coil Housings

Cannabis Hardware designed a variety of PID and coil configurations to suit as many situations as possible. These housings are designed and made right here in the USA, by a fellow cannabis consumer and community member.

ZenLeaf Bliss

ZenLeaf Bliss - Dual Pid housing with a single coil and XLR output
  • Dual Built-in PID
  • Single Coil Housing
  • XLR Output
  • $553

The Bliss has a coil housing on one half and XLR output on the other. It’s perfect for combining with a traditional e-nail, corded ball vape, or even satellite housing like the Whisper or the Echo!

ZenLeaf Echo

ZenLeaf Echo - XLR Coil Housing without PID controller
  • Use Your Own PID
  • Single Coil Housing
  • Auber/DC Compatible
  • $279

The Echo is similar to the Whisper, but made using a round stock of aluminum instead of solid block. This makes the Echo cheaper while sacrificing the 25mm storage wells.

Zenleaf Nova

Zenleaf Nova single coil housing with built in PID
  • Built in PID
  • Single Coil Housing
  • $442

The Nova is slightly larger than the Whisper and has a built-in PID to heat the coil and control the temps.

ZenLeaf Whisper

Zenleaf Whisper - XLR Coil Housing (NO PID)
  • Use Your Own PID
  • Single Coil Housing
  • Auber/DC Compatible
  • $322

The Whisper is perfect if you already have a PID. This housing has a small footprint without sacrificing the 25mm storage wells.

I've been medicating with vaporizers, legally, since 2012. I started reviewing dry herb vaporizers and other cannabis products in 2015. I fell in love with creating content around vapes and cannabis vaporization. I'm passionate about the topic and the community. I love bringing people together and I love helping them understand the ins and outs of vaping weed.

Hey Troy, I think I know the answer to this one based on your reviews and some of the videos of you and Jerry discussing, but would you say the only reason you get that extra kick from Mary is from the heating of the bowl itself? For example, have you been able to try it on one of Ed’s wooden bowls or CH’s glass bowl where the heat transfer wouldn’t take place like it would in the shovelhead? And the follow up, have you noticed any issues heating either “engine” with the Dab Ready instead of a CH device allowing someone like myself who has a Terp Ready set up just buy a Mary “engine” to have those saturated hits?

    Keep the content comming!

I too would find it enticing adding different 25mm injectors/diffusers to the Dab Ready, allowing a further variety of effects.
