The Cordless Universal Baller takes about 10 minutes to heat up and a minute or two to recover heat after a big hit.
With the coil attached, the vape heats up in about 8 minutes and only needs 30 or 45 seconds in between hits.
The Universal Baller performs better with the coil attached, but its stand is better used as a cordless ball vape. In the coiled configuration, there is no secure place to set down the hot vape head.

The Universal Baller comes with an all-glass bowl. This bowl has a permanently installed glass screen, a small handle, and an 18mm glass joint. I like that it comes with an 18mm glass joint. Ball vapes need higher airflow, and 18mm should be the standard.
All-glass screens let a lot of organic material slip through, resulting in more frequent cleaning. I recommend using an ash catcher or a dry catch to keep your bong cleaner while using this bowl.
The Universal Baller has an optional Hybrid Bowl. This bowl also features a 100% glass vapor path, but it has a metal housing around the glass. The metal connection provides a stable setting. It can also be pre-heated using a coil. I don't recommend pre-heating the bowl.
The Universal Baller bowls are a work of art! The armored bowl design matches the armored glass style of the Universal Baller, and its performance is similar to other diffuser-style ball vapes.
The Hybrid Bowl is $60 and worth it. The metal housing does not directly affect the flavor as it's not in the vapor path.
This bowl holds 0.2-0.35 g. It can be used with smaller amounts, but the vape performs best with 0.2 or more.
Universal Baller's glass micro-dosing bowl has become the standard all-glass option for many diffuser-style vaporizers. Other vapes have even borrowed the design because its glass screen is the best in the space.
Customizing the Universal Baller - Changing Balls, etc
The quartz lining of the Universal Baller is open on one end. The vaporizer comes apart, and its guts can be reconfigured and customized. It comes with a fritted quartz screen and a drilled quartz screen. The quartz liner can be removed entirely for a standard ball vape experience. With the quartz liner, the Universal Baller holds ~500 2mm ruby balls. Without the quartz liner and quartz screens, it will hold closer to 1000.
You can even swap the 2mm ruby balls out for gems or Moissanite. The Universal Baller is modular and highly customizable.

I did submit a comment yesterday so I hope I’m not repeating this and it just didn’t go through. Anyway do you find the Natural or the Universal Baller better for Terps or just as good as each other? Thinking of getting the stainless steel one although I was waiting for the Natural as the terps sound out of this world. How would you compare then to the GoPhase3 zx as Iv4 found that to be the most flavourful ball vape O own, although find myself reaching for the Screwball or Ace just as much.
The Universal and the Natural will be more flavorful than the ZX
I think the Natural still has more flavor punch than the UB, but the UB does more and can hit well in a number of different combinations.
The Natural is a bit of a one-trick-pony

I’m looking for an HYBRID heating set up! I just have tm2 and i want something different. I like the full kit but wireless. But id like to know if its 100% conventionor or if its hybrid. Thanks
It’s a diffuser style. It is a HYBRID heating setup, but it’s not quite as heavy on the conduction as some of the other ball vapes. UB leans closer to the full convection, but can still deliver the roastier side when wired or with the 30mm FMJ adapter.
It’s a diffuser in the standard config but you can easily turn it into an injector using the same Adapter Set that has that 30mm FMJ adapter Troy mentioned… that set has quite a few different styles so you can choose the one you prefer, I own it and actually haven’t tried any of the adapters yet, I’ve kept it in the standard config, quartz housing and wired, bc it gives me enough power to roast but can also do relatively low temps to get more terps on the first toke(s).. i love it
Thanks Troy. Can’t remember whether you mentioned this in the livestreams, but can you confirm whether or not the UB & natural are compatible with the zenleaf PID stands? I know you typically use them with the hothole, but wanted to check if i remember correctly that you may have mentioned that they may not function well with the zenleaf coils.
The Universal Baller is completely compatible with with the zenleaf. The XLR coils are the same wiring and the heads are 25mm for wireless. I stretched my zenleaf coil to work better with the Ace and the Universal Baller. The Ace isn’t compatible with other coils.
