The Odin Threadless is a 3-piece anodized aluminum grinder.
This grinder offers many of the high-quality features typically found in more expensive models. These grinders are easy to open and completely thread-free. Its pieces are held together by magnets and perhaps a bit of magic. I’m no magician and cannot confirm the presence of magic, but as a reviewer, I can confirm the presence of magnets.
Odin grinders aim to deliver luxury features on budget prices.
This threadless grinder is $49 and comes in 7 color choices. Or $99 for the stainless steel.

Threadless Innovation
The threadless grinder revolution is in full swing. Threaded grinders are already considered vintage.
This grinder has no threads to jam or clog with debris. It’s held together with magnets and clever friction points.
The bottom has a center post with a magnet that locks into the bottom of the middle section. The middle section and top section have magnets, too, but they’re able to spin freely to grind nugs.

Odin includes a small weed scoop with the threadless grinder. It even fits inside the grinder!
After using threadless weed grinders for a few years, it’s challenging to return to traditional grinders. Threads are annoying. These threadless grinders are fast and convenient to open. No more wasted time unthreading the grinder, only to see that it’s empty anyway.
Sharp Teeth & Quality Grind
Whether vaporizing or smoking, the quality of the grind is of utmost importance. I wouldn’t bust out the lightbox for a crappy grinder. The Odin has a great grind consistency that’s perfect for dry herb vaporizers and smokers alike.

These teeth are sharp, and they quickly shred sticky nugs. The teeth pattern appears to be a blend of a few other popular weed grinders. The hole pattern doesn’t have any holes in the center region. Sometimes it takes a few extra turns and taps for all the herb to fall through.
Consistency is key, and so far, the output has been remarkably consistent. I’m still testing the Odin Threadless and will update this review with more insights as the grinder gets clogged up.

The grind consistency is medium. This is perfect for most dry herb vaporizers and smoking apparatuses.
Color Choices
Variety is the spice of life. Odin offers this grinder in 7 color choices. These aluminum grinders are anodized. These colors are a chemical change to the aluminum surface. It’s not paint. This anodization makes the surface harder and more durable than the bare aluminum.

These color choices are a great way to personalize your session. Everyone has a favorite color, but very few people have a grinder that’s their favorite color. My favorite color is green, go figure.
Available in Stainless Steel
Odin makes this grinder in Stainless Steel for $99
It’s the same design, but a lot heavier. The stainless version may be my new favorite grinder. It’s heavy and feels great in the hand. It’s not as nice to use as the Old Mate or the Brilliant Cut, but it’s smaller and easier to carry.

It’s a Budget Brilliant Cut
The Brilliant Cut Grinder is the current #1 weed grinder on my Best Weed Grinders page. This was the first threadless grinder, and it set the standard for all other weed grinders to aspire to.
The Brilliant Cut is $88 for the regular and $115 for the Large. Odin’s threadless grinder has a similar design and similar function. It’s just not as nice, and it doesn’t have as many options as the Brilliant Cut.
The Brilliant Cut Grinder is 100% a better weed grinder than the Odin, but if the difference between 49 and 88 is a lot to you right now, you’ll find the Odin even more enjoyable when you spend that $29 on some good flower.
The Brilliant Cut turns out nicer, grinds more smoothly, and has a sleeker design, available in more color choices. BCG is made in Canada. Odin is a Chinese import.

The Threadless Odin is at the top of my budget grinder picks.
There are nicer grinders, and there are cheaper grinders. I think this grinder strikes the perfect balance. $50 is affordable enough, and the quality of life improvements with this grinder are substantial over traditional weed grinders.
Threadless grinders are so much more enjoyable to use. This grinder grinds great and doesn’t seem to jam.
It Comes in a Case
Most weed grinders come in a small cardboard box that is often thrown away. Some come in a fancy velvet bag that gets thrown away. I’ve even seen some fancy grinders come with elaborate cork and plastic casings to hold all the extra accessories and tools to lose or throw away.

This case is generic enough to be reused with other applications. Or keep your weed grinder in a case if that’s your preference. Who am I to judge!?
The little scoop is a great added value. The case is cool too.
