TCC Diffusion Pump Review – Bong Designed for Flavorful Ball Vapes

Terp Chasers Club modular bong - the Diffuser Pump

It's not often that I get to review a new type of bong!

This water bubbler is designed for maximum flavor and minimal water contact. It's designed by Terp Chasers Club, the brand that brought us the most flavorful, hardest-hitting dry herb vaporizer - The Universal Baller.

What is it?

  • It's a modular bong. The base and mouthpiece are bowh attached via an 18mm glass joint
  • It's a "diffusion pump" style bong. Smoke or vapor is pumped into a separate chamber instead of bubbling through the water.
  • It's tall and holds a lot of water, but the bubbles don't use it all.
    • All of the vapor-water interaction happens in those little tubes
  • It's designed by the guy who created the Universal Baller Ball Vape - my favorite heavy-hitting dry herb vaporizer.
Terp Chasers Club Diffuser Pump has a small glass ball that acts as a valve in the recycler

Why It's Different

Most bongs use a percolator to inject smoke or vapor bubbles into a column of water. The bubbles travel upwards through the water and into the lungs.

This bong uses a clever vacuum-pump design to completely remove the percolator. There's no percolator whatsoever!

Vapor bubbles through the vacuum tubes as the water recycles back to the reservoir.

The little ball serves as a vacuum valve.

Good for Ball Vapes?

This is subjective. This bong has a great flavor, making it ideal for ball vapes.

This bong doesn't have wide-open airflow, but it's not restrictive either. This piece is somewhere in the middle.

I like more airflow and a faster inhale speed. This piece isn't so slow that I can't use it, though. On the airflow spectrum, this piece is somewhere in the middle. I like pieces with high airflow.

Ball vapes need a steady inhale speed to work, and this glass helps maintain a consistent draw speed.

Not all ball vapes need a massive airflow, either! There are several ball vapes that actually work best with tighter pieces.

I've been medicating with vaporizers, legally, since 2012. I started reviewing dry herb vaporizers and other cannabis products in 2015.

I fell in love with creating content around vapes and cannabis vaporization. I'm passionate about the topic and the community. I love bringing people together and I love helping them understand the ins and outs of vaping weed.
