Hinged Top for Easiest Access Ever
The hinged lid is a game-changer. Ghost 2 can be managed with a single hand.
Fiddly bubble-caps be gone. Those little joystick caps can piss off, too.
The Ghost 2 opens and closes like a box of Tic Tacs. It even has the satisfying *snap*.
Pop it open, drop a dab, snap it shut, vape your face off. Cleanup is quick. Bring qtips.
Ghost 2 is small and fits perfectly in my palm. It’s small enough to forget in my pants pockets.
The top is held down with tiny, curiously strong magnets. The feeling of popping it open and snapping it shut is incredibly satisfying.
The hinge is tuned so the top stays open for easier loading and cleaning.
Three Distinct Heating Profiles, Five Temperatures
Dr Dabber revolutionized the e-rig space with customizable heating profiles on the Switch 2, and now they’re bringing that same option to the vape pen space.
Choose between three different heating algorithms.
- Ascending Temperature Mode mimics a cold-start dab, with temperatures starting low and ending high.
- Descending Temperature Mode mimics a traditional banger where the temperature starts high and cools down.
- Plateau Temperature Mode mimics a desktop e-nail, keeping a constant temperature throughout the whole dabbing experience.
Triple-Click the Ghost 2 button to cycle through the three different heating modes. The LED strips on the side of the vape indicate the selected mode via directional lighting. It’s subtle and quite clever, probably my favorite feature!
Zirconia & Glass Vapor Path (without upgrades)
Straight out of the box, Ghost 2 comes equipped with connoisseur standard upgrades.
The black ceramic Zirconia mouthpiece is as pure as glass and often preferred for its durability and thermal properties. It’s an upgrade from glass, at least by most standards.
The Ghost 2 mouthpiece can be upgraded to glass or heady glass. It also rotates in the silicone housing, and the silicone housing can be removed entirely for cleaning.
The entire mouthpiece assembly can be removed from the vaporizer for easy maintenance.
The two ceramic zirconia pieces fit together to form the airpath, keeping the vapor and silicone separate. The small intake piece also has angular shapes to help spin the oil.
Clean, Cool, Tasty Vapor
Vapor from the Ghost 2 is surprisingly cool and pure-tasting. Wax pens have a reputation of either having too much bite, or not enough – the Dr Dabber Ghost 2 blends the level of power and comfort perfectly.
Temperatures are accurate and diverse enough to satisfy most users. It can sip or it can spank. Vapor remains cool and manageable at all temperatures.
Easiest Wax Pen Style Vape Ever
Wax pens and portable concentrate vapes aren’t my favorite type of vape to use or review, but I found myself enjoying the Ghost 2 more than I thought I would.
The hinged top is an enjoyment to use. It’s like the original click-wheel on the iPod – it’s nothing revolutionary, but it’s the perfect culmination of technologies. This interface is perfect.
If there’s ever been a vaporizer designed for one-armed amputees, the Ghost 2 is it.
Ghost 2 Review Verdict
It’s hard to find faults with this little vape. It might be the perfect dab pen.
I’m still pushing it through its paces, but right now I’m loving it. I still prefer dabbing with a real rig and a terp slurper at home, but on the go, the Ghost 2 is a worthy carry.
