Dr Dabber Switch User Guide

The Dr. Dabber SWITCH is the first ever induction weed vape. It’s a battery-powered dab rig with dry herb capabilities and it’s an absolute BEAST.

I received my Dr. Dabber Switch to review and beta test several months before its release. There have been several firmware updates and minor hardware changes along the way and there are improvements yet to come.

Dr. Dabber Switch: Induction Dabs + Dry Herb Vape*

The induction heater of the Dr. Dabber Switch is contained inside the glass joint at the peak of the unit. A titanium cup is heated via induction and transfers the heat to a ceramic or quartz insert where your dab, or dry herb/cannabis, is placed. A glass bubbler and carb cap sits atop of the Switch.

At the end of the day, it’s still conduction – let’s not get carried away with scientific mumbo-jumbo. Induction is great because it’s an extremely quick and efficient heating method. It doesn’t improve the dab or the vapor, but it absolutely maximizes battery power.
The Dr. Dabber SWITCH can vape through nearly 100 dabs before needing a recharge.

Dr. Dabber Switch: What’s included?

For $399 the Switch comes in a foam padded box that doubles as a carrying case. Inside the carrying-box:

  • Dr. Dabber Switch
  • battery pack (120w,  already installed)
  • White Ceramic Induction Cup – for concentrates
  • Black Ceramic Induction Cup – for dry herb
  • Wall Charger (works as pass-through charging)
  • Glass bubbler/bong (clear)
  • Reverse-Action Tweezers
  • Glass carb cap & dabber
  • Silicone Concentrate Container

Dr. Dabber Switch UPGRADES! (optional)

  • Quartz Induction Cup – I highly recommend the quartz insert. The quartz insert provides a bright and clean flavor when dabbing.
  • Smooth Ceramic Induction Cup – The smooth ceramic insert is easy to clean and provides a great dab. Much nicer than the included ceramic inserts.
  • Bubble Cap – The directional part of the ball-cap isn’t important here, but it’s nice to get the intake closer to the vaporization point
  • Black Glass – Sexy glass, looks great on the already-black Dr. Dabber Switch. Hides dirt
  • Ball Glass (coming soon)
  • Recycler Glass (coming soon)

The glass joint at the top of the Switch has multi-color LEDs and there are 36 unique lighting modes ranging from jazzy mood lighting to raging rave and everything in between – including stealth mode for the party poopers.

There are 25 different heating levels in both dry herb and concentrate mode.

The Dr. Dabber Switch can learn your draw length as well!

I've been medicating with vaporizers, legally, since 2012. I started reviewing dry herb vaporizers and other cannabis products in 2015. I fell in love with creating content around vapes and cannabis vaporization. I'm passionate about the topic and the community. I love bringing people together and I love helping them understand the ins and outs of vaping weed.

Would you say the quartz cup or the smooth ceramic cup is better? Can you use the cleaning mode on the quartz one?

I like the quartz cup better. Crytal mode doesn’t have the self-cleaning feature. I torch the cup when its too dirty.

How often do we change cup?
        Or do we need to?
