I can’t believe I’m writing this review! Yocan made this, and it’s actually good.
I’ve been reviewing vaporizers for 10 years. Yocan has a reputation for being cheap Chinese trash – no offense.
This product is different. The Heat Vision carb cap is incredibly functional and offers exceptional utility for dabbers.
It’s a universal spinner cap with a built-in infrared temperature reader. It fits practically every banger and e-rig I’ve tested, and it’s only 53 bucks. This might be the best dabbing accessory of the year.

What is the Yocan Heat Vision Carb Cap
The Heat Vision is designed as a universal carb cap with autospinning vortex airflow. It’ll fit bangers as large as 30mm and as small as the Puffco Peak, and it’ll make terp pearls spin at high speeds in all configurations.
Its infrared sensor points down into the dab dish or banger, and the screen faces up.

The Heat Vision turns on automatically when pointed at a hot object. It will read temperatures ranging from as high as 900°F to as low as 200°F.
I’ve compared the temperature reading to my trusty DabRite, and it appears to be every bit as accurate.
It charges via USB-C, and the battery seems to last a very long time thanks to its auto-off feature.
As a Universal Spinning Carb Cap
The Heat Vision’s auto-spinner works great and fits standard bucket bangers with ease. It sits comfortably on top of 30mm and 25mm bangers. It works with 20mm and 16mm, but the silicone fit may require force.
I prefer to hold it for smaller bangers, rather than applying downward force. Glass joints and quartz banger necks are too fragile. It shines with 25mm bangers and the Dr. Dabber Switch.

Perfect for Dr Dabber Switch 2
The Switch 2 is my highest-rated portable dab device and #1 E-rig on my Best Ways to Dab page.
My favorite Switch 2 upgrade has been the Mothership spinner cap, which is ridiculously expensive and I really only love it for its great airflow and autospinning function.
The Heat Vision has the same excellent airflow, and it autospins just like the Mothership. The Heat Vision sticks firmly in place, too, which makes it more travel-friendly than glass bubble caps.
And it reads the temperature live as you’re dabbing! How cool, or hot, is that? The Heat Vision will tell you!
The Dr. Dabber Switch features an IR temperature reader installed beneath its cup, which can only be monitored using the app. The Heat Vision provides an additional thermal reading while adding auto-spinning functionality.
My Heat Vision now lives permanently on my Switch 2, and I use it as my travel cap.

Why it’s a LIFE CHANGER
If you don’t already have an IR dab thermometer like a Dab Rite, they’re game changers. It’s more than just nailing the perfect dab temp, too. These devices provide the user with a comprehensive thermal view of the heat range of their quartz.
- Perfect your dab temperature
- Understand your hot spots
- Cooldown Cleaning Temps
Perfect Dab Temps are subjective. My dab temps range from as low as 475°F to as high as 580°F, depending on the banger, the rosin, the size of the glob, and my intentions. Without a device like the Dab Rite or Heat Vision, we were using our wrists to gauge the radiant heat.
Savvy stoners were using timers and keeping notes. If you had multiple bangers, you’d have to have multiple notebooks. Those days are GONE thanks to these IR thermometers.

Heat Vision vs Dab Rite
This decision comes down to your lifestyle and how you dab.
The Dab Rite is still the best tool for Terp Slurpers and Blenders. Terp Slurpers are a unique type of banger with a vertical vaporization zone. The Dab Rite’s sensor is on a flexible connector that can be positioned perfectly at the vapor zone on a slurper.
The Dab Rite is hands-free when using Terp Slurpers and Blenders. The Heat Vision requires literal hand-holding to read the side column on the slurper accurately.

The Yocan Heat Vision can read temperatures of up to 900°F, while the Dab Rite stops at 800°F.
Heat Vision is the Thrifty Fifty King for Bucket Bangers. If you’re using traditional bucket bangers, the Heat Vision has everything going for it, especially in terms of budget. It’s 1/3 the price of the Dab Rite.
It has proven itself to be incredibly versatile and valuable, even in sessions with multiple Dab Rite.
Both devices appear to have similar accuracy in side-by-side tests.

the Yocan Resurrection has commenced… behold; the shedding of the legacy of shittiness – the old, abandoned rock has been widdled down into a new rough gem…. what treasures have been revealed, we know net yet, but the transcendent value and worthiness is impressively and surprisingly undeniable… fascinated to discover how refined the new evolutions have finally upgraded to our level. excited to witness your further dives into the new Yocan Black lineup…! cheers FOGGER! :D
lmao, I’m too high for this Mike
Apparently a few other things in this Yocan Black lineup are good, too. I see Erick Khan posted a Pivot-like device that he liked.
