NEW for 2026 – The Utillian 8 Turbo is the newest and best e-rig from Utillian.

The “Turbo” brings a massive upgrade over the standard Utillian 8 V2.
The U8 Turbo has 3D atomizer with full surround heating – a must have for dab connoisseurs. Utillian made theirs rebuildable
They’ve also added a temperature sensor with software based dynamic heating. This rig should deliver perfect temp no matter the dab size or inhale conditions.
It has 12 preset temperatures that span nearly 200F.
The carb cap spins like a fidget spinner. It’s fun and functional. They even include two different versions.
The session timer defaults to 30 seconds and can be customized if you like longer dabs.
The Utillian 8 Turbo is $399 – just $20 cheaper than the top of the line Puffco Peak Pro.
At the time of this writing the U8 Turbo is $288 on sale.

Vapor Quality & Dab Performance
This is where push comes to shove, and the Utillian 8 Turbo shines.
The U8 Turbo performs like a top-tier e-rig. The 12 preset temperatures are perfectly incremented to accommodate all types of user preferences.
I often find myself using the max temperature settings on most e-rigs, but the Utillian 8 Turbo has plenty of power at its lower temperature settings.
The dab finishes strong with the Utillian 8 Turbo. The vapor is dense and flavorful throughout the hit, but especially punchy right at the end. This makes the experience feel extra efficient compared to other e-rigs.

Using the Utillian 8 Turbo
The U8 Turbo looks, feels, and functions like any other e-rig – for the most part.
The spinning carb cap assembly is chunky and snaps onto the vape using magnets. Removing it and replacing it with each dab feels slightly clunky and out of place, but it’s not a deal breaker. Overall the spinning carb cap is a fun experience.
The U8 Turbo chamber is deep and large, making loading dabs easy – especially with a hot knife.
With rice-grain sized dabs on temp 4, I get three or four great hits. The intensity is satisfactory, flavor is good, and it’s smooth enough to take it all without coughing.

Cleanup & Maintenance
This is where the U8 Turbo starts to lose its luster.
After my first dab the atomizer was visibly stained. It took significant scrubbing and a quick soak in Dark Crystal to get it cleaned up, and there’s still a dark ring around the bottom where it meets the sidewall.
Compared to the Puffco Peak Pro and the Dr. Dabber Switch 2, the Utillian 8 Turbo stained easier and was more difficult to cleanup. However this may have been my fault for taking my first dab too hot and then firing it again, for science.
I am 12 dabs into testing right now and will update this review as testing continues.
The stain hasn’t gotten any worse!
Rebuildable 3D Atomizer
The Utillian 8 Turbo has a completely rebuildable 3D atomizer.
The sidewall heating ceramic component is designed to be replaceable. They’re two for $50.
At 25 bucks a piece, I don’t feel terrible about the stains I’m seeing already – but I’m still more skeptical than optimistic.

The atomizer unscrews from the Utillian 8 Turbo with a quarter turn clockwise.
The top of the atomizer unscrews counter-clockwise
I haven’t had to replace the atomizer yet. I’m currently logging every single dab and will report any significant changes to the device here. Leave a comment if you have questions!

My favorite erig is my tm2. Because I don’t have a erig lol!! I’m guessing my fave would be the switch 2 but idk since i have not tried it. But twaxing with the tm2 and bong combo is actually pretty good. If I had to pick a favorite rig it would be the old glass rig with nail or dish I think it was called. You would heat up the dish or nail with a torch and then put your dab on there and cover with the carb cap and fly to the moon. No follow up hits needed. Would make me cough like no tomorrow. But the high was amazing. Keep it up Troy. I relate quite a bit to you. Preach the vapor truth!
Hah, twaxing with the TM2 ia a helluva high!
thanks for commenting!
Very much to my surprise, The Mighty Hornet has become my go to for everything. I took advantage of the sale with your code last week and wow. Flower, rosin, hash, it just plain works, and seriously save on the amounts needed. I use the metal bowl which gives perfect extraction with one or two hits, and then cleans almost completely with just tapping it out. For me, there’s nothing not to like.
YUSSSS, so glad to hear from a new Hornet owner.
I’ve been using my Hornet nonstop since my return from Illinois – i love that vape so much
Hello, I would love a chance to win that vaporizer as I do not have an e-rig yet. Love your content and recommendations.
Thanks for entering Ryan! Best of luck!
I am relatively new to dabbing. My only dabbing device, and the only dab device I have ever tried, is a Puffco Pivot. Obviously, I have nothing to compare to the Pivot, but it seems to perform pretty well for a first time, low cost, portable device. Eventually, I get a higher end device and see what I may have been missing. But do I worry about spending the money on a high end device, and then finding out that I do not have the ability to appreciate the differences.
Just an FYI… I really like the idea of the “TV” section for uncensored videos. Easy to find and easy to watch. Keep up the great content. I hope to see more videos here.
Thank you.
Thanks Ronny! Pivot is surprisingly good for its size!
Way back when, I started with the Core2 and followed that up with the Dab Ready a few years ago, which I still use, but as the Terp Ready, as I now have a Switch2, which is by far the best. I’ve looked at the Puffco products and even the Dr Dabber Go, but nothing can touch the S2! Having said that, I’d still like to have another e-rig for use outside in the Gazebo, for example, lol.
Switch 2 is the king! You’ve had a nice little vape journey. Do you have a Terp Hammer?
LOL, the Terp Hammer is what I meant! Very good review.
I’ve never considered Any Utillian stuff, something like this would be awesome to have I’ve considered a proxy because its versatile. Been watching TroyandJerry for about 8 years now. Look forward every week to your show. Get bummed when you guys skip a week …. I use mostly herb, twaxed some but this would be fun to expand into concentrates fully with a device. Have a Great Day! And good luck everyone!
Thanks Raymond!
Utillian has been working hard to improve their vapes, I think this might be the first one I’ve formally reviewed.
Hello again Troy i would say switch 2 with all the upgrades is best but i still have a soft spot for peak pro with so many glass upgrades out there you can change vapor profile of the device dramatically i also bought switch go 3 days ago the 2 day my sapphie inesrt got stuck in the device i had to spray alcohol in there for 2 hours to get to release thank god it survived the go is not as good as switch2 another topic i finally pulled the trigger on tvape first purchase was the utillian 850 got for about $240 shipping was really fast the device produces really thick and dense vapor also pretty smooth and airflow really nice i think its more conduction then convection probaly 60\40 but i not a vape master by any means still waiting on gt4 reveiw when you get time thank you
Nice detailed review. Looking forward to your long term follow-up. I currently have the Puffco Plus the small pen is great for stealth. It’s good on the go but not great. I also have the BOMB which I like because of the precise temp adjustments. You have been my go to for reviews for a long time. Keep up the good work. Got the Might + then the Venty based on your reviews and love them both.
Thanks! I have an old version of the Bomb and i hated it, but it seems like they fixed the things I complained about
Hey Troy
I am new to dabbing, so I guess my fav is my only I have the Lotus with a torch
Lotus is such a fun vape – are you using herb and dabs at the same time with it?
Favorite e-rig is the Dr Dabber Boost EVO. Small, compact, easy to take with you. Also feels easier to use than the comparable Puffco Device.
Boost EVO coming through, nice! I don’t know if I have one of those – is that the one with the magnetic glass topper?
My favorite E-rig is my current and the only one I’ve had. A Crossing Core 2 with a 3DXL atomizer upgrade It was fun seein you get zooted trying out the utilian 8T. Keep doin what ya do, appreciate ya
Thank you for the review Troy. Leaving a comment for my chance to win. I’ve only tried one e-rig, I believe it was a Crossing Core 2.1, so I can’t say that I have a favorite. Cheers!
This will be my new favorite if I’m lucky! Keep on trucking!
I posted this once but it’s no showing in the comments. I have an original Mighty and it’s been my daily driver since 2019.
