LimeLight Frolic ReviewTinyMight 2 Review

Vapor Performance Differences

The Tinymight 2 and Frolic vaporizers utilize a similar convection heater. Frolic is designed with a golden ratio of added conduction heat, while the Tinymight remains a full convection device.

The Tinymight 2 has more power than it can use. My Tinymight is set to 7.5/10 on the dial. If I turn it any hotter, it combusts.
My Tinymight is configured for two or three hit extractions. The hits are long and slower because of the restriction and airflow. The vapor is incredibly terpy, borderline painful.

The Frolic brings more balanced power. Its vapor is fuller and fluffier, with less discomfort from the terp-bite.

Frolic’s convection heater somehow feels more powerful than the Tinymight 2. The Frolic has massive airflow and its heater keeps up with hard and fast draws.

I can hit the Frolic harder and faster than the Tinymight. Frolic has better airflow and better extraction management.

The Tinymight 2 expresses the terpenes more than the Frolic, and it seems to be able to get hotter, but the Frolic is more enjoyable to use.

User Interface Comparison

The hardware and software interfaces of these two vaporizers differ significantly.

Hardware Comparison

The Frolic vaporizer bowl is accessible by removing the cooling unit

The Frolic has a traditional “bowl” shape concealed beneath the removable cooling unit. The bowl is made of aluminum, and the funnel surrounding it is made of PEEK.

The Cooling Unit is held on tightly by the silicone O-ring around the bowl.

Removing the Cooling Unit to access the bowl requires moderate force, pinching and wiggling the CU while pulling it away from the device.

Tinymight 2 uses a glass stem as its bowl and vapor path

Tinymight 2 is a stem-loader. The glass stem is both the vapor path and the bowl. The metal cooling unit serves as the screen.

The metal cooling unit is held in place with silicone o-rings. It can be moved up or down to adjust the bowl size.

Removing the stem requires moderate force, twisting and wiggling the stem while pulling it from the vaporizer.

Both of these vaporizers are harder to open and access than the Mighty or Venty. They’re not overly difficult, but if you have issues with hand or finger strength, these vapes may be a challenge.

I find the Frolic’s bowl easier and more pleasing to work with, but this is highly preferential. Many vape users love stem-loaded vaporizers. Many traditional desktop vaporizers used similar stems.

The Frolic has three buttons in total.

The power/control button on its side turns the device off and on, and activates the heater in On-Demand mode.

The Plus and Minus buttons on the bottom are used for adjusting temperatures, timers, and other settings.

Tinymight has one button and one adjustable screw.

Tinymight’s single button does it all. It turns the device off and on with three rapid clicks. It also activates the heater.

The tiny screw is used to control the power/temperature. Anything beyond eight combusts for me.

Software Comparison

Limelight Frolic vaporizer interface and OLED screen

The Frolic is a digital vaporizer with a simple operating system. Its software allows basic time and temperature settings, as well as units and vibration alerts.

The Tinymight 2 has an analog interface. It uses a straight screw as its temperature dial.

The Tinymight 2 has a single button for all of its controls. Three clicks turn it on. Three clicks and hold turn it on into session mode.

The Frolic has a Power/Control button as well as the two PLUS/MINUS buttons. Three clicks turn it off and on.

Tinymight 2 has a single button control and a temperature screw dial

The Tinymight might seem like a dumb vape, but it’s also built around a little brain that helps control its powerful heater. The TinyMight 2 can be customized and tuned using advanced maneuvers that I won’t cover here.

There’s a special charm to the simplicity of the Tinymight and its dumbed-down controls. It feels like something a craftsman would carry and use.

I don’t love or hate either for their software interface. I prefer having a screen and knowing an actual number over the 1-10 dial, but it’s not the end of the world.

Real World Reach Test & Pocket Carry

This will be an interesting test. I prefer to carry session vaporizers like the Venty over the Tinymight because most of my vaping is done casually on the go. I like to enjoy several hits over 5-10 minutes.

Both Frolic and Tinymight have session modes, but these vapes truly shine in on-demand mode due to their fast heat-up and high potency.

It’s still too early in my Frolic honeymoon to call this one, but I can already tell that the Frolic will win my reach test over the Tinymight. The Frolic is already winning my reach test over the Venty, and that vape has been my daily carry for two years.

One thing is clear, the Frolic deserves to be listed at the top of my best dry herb vaporizers page, and it will be as soon as my testing is complete and the honeymoon stage is over.

FAQ

Which vape hits harder?

This depends on if you like a lung hit or a face-squishing terp hit. The Frolic has the heavy hit and airflow that most desire. The Tinymight flavor and potency still hurt more, but both vapes are very close in potency.

Which vape is easier to clean?

The TinyMight 2 is easiest to clean. The stem can be rinsed with isopropyl alcohol and ready to vape within a minute or two.

Which vaporizer has better battery life?

This will depend on how you're using each vape, but the Frolic should have better battery life than the Tinymight in every scenario. Both have removable batteries, but the Frolic's battery is bigger.

How much did you get paid to make this?

ZERO. I don't get paid to make content or post content. I'm not an influencer. I *only* get paid if you purchase a vaporizer using one of my affiliate links. I'm a professional vape reviewer and I do my best to cover all dry herb vaporizers, regardless of affiliation.

Got my frolic today and really love the build quality and design. I’ve only had one bowl so far but have to say I was disappointed as I didn’t yield the same results as you have in your first bowl video.

Flavour was there and the bowl was properly cooked after 3 big rips but the vapour production was lacking on all 3. I’ve had a TM2 and currently using a Tafee Bowle 2 so I was expecting the frolic to match up. I obviously need to play around with it some more but I was expecting more from my first bowl.

Any tips on packing the bowl and what air flow to set it on? I had it fully wide open on my 3 hits so maybe it was too much air? I didn’t pack the bowl fully either. Probably a two thirds pack.

    Thanks, Troy :)

Hi Jax, thanks for the comment!
That’s weird about your Frolic experience. I get good vapor when half-packed or full-packed. I am inhaling hard and fast with both vapes.
Is it possible that your Frolic is faulty? I have my airflow max and usually vape at 390. I usually fill the bowl completely. sometimes i overfill a bit and tamp it with my finger

I’ve since had more time to play with the Frolic and HOLY SHIT BALLS..

I think I had the temp too low and wasn’t pulling hard and fast enough. I’ve now had a few more bowls and can confirm that this thing hits like a freakin’ train.

I think this is going to replace my TB2
