Odin is back with another affordable stainless steel weed grinder. The Draken 2 is completely threadless. It's a 3-piece design that uses extremely powerful magnets instead of threads.

Draken 2 First Impressions
This thing feels great! It's not as heavy as it looks. They did a nice job milling this grinder down to eliminate the extra weight.
It's still heavy, but it feels lighter than the other stainless steel weed grinders.

The Draken is easy to open, even with one hand. Be careful with one-handed opening, though, the lower half can really pinch.
This grinder grinds quickly and turns easily.
I've only recently begun testing this grinder. Check back in a few months for a more in-depth Draken 2 grinder review.
I push my grinders pretty hard and take my reviews very seriously.
Build Quality & Machining
The Draken 2 is well-made and refined. There are no rough edges. The exterior is 100% smooth and polished. Most of the interior is polished as well, with some tool markings still visible between the teeth.

There are no sharp edges, but they're not overly chamfered either.
The bottom edge and the bottom of the middle have a seamless fit that can pinch skin if not careful.
I love the way all three pieces snap together. The magnets are very strong.

Threadless Design & Freshness Seal
Threadless weed grinders often suffer from a leaky seal, making fresh weed go stale fast. The Draken 2 has a tight seal with strong magnets. Weed left in this grinder should stay fresh for several days.
My first overnight test was a huge success. The herb left in the lower half of my grinder for 14 hours was still fresh and fluffy.
The magnetic snap of the Draken 2 is fun, functional, and satisfying.
Closing the grinder and putting it back together is so effortless, it feels like magic. Simply pick up the top half and hover above the lower half. The magnets will take care of the rest.

The bottom section is held together with magnets and a center-post design. The three little nubs lock into the hexagon-shaped center post, preventing it from turning while grinding.
To open the bottom section after grinding, lift the middle section at an angle. It helps to set it down on a flat surface the first time if you don't want to spill your weed. I hold the base in my left hand and lift the middle section off with my right, like opening a clam.
Once you figure it out, it'll be 2nd nature.

Grind Consistency & Performance
The grind from the Draken 2 is chunkier than I expected. The sharpened trapezoid teeth cut up nugs very quickly.
Nugs are ground up and mostly cleared from the teeth in a few turns.

These stainless steel grinders are great for maintaining their sharpness. Draken 2 has very sharp teeth, and they should stay sharp for a very long time.
This grinder cuts through tough sticky nugs quickly. It will grind up stems and all. I pick out the stems because I'm not a heathen.

The bottom section is huge and smooth AF. Ground herb slips and slides around a bit, but it's not unscoopable.
Its edge is not round for better scooping or finger pinching. It's a slightly rounded right angle. Weed scoops still work, but there are no magical pairings or scoop optimizations. No shade, just an observation.
The grind consistency is coarse or medium-coarse.

This grinder may work better after a few weeks of use. Sometimes new stainless steel grinders need a light layer of stickiness to make them work properly.
It's slightly inconsistent, with several large chunks amongst a scatter of nicely sized medium grind.
No complaints overall. It's nice to see a medium/coarse grind. it's chunkier than most medium grinders, and finer than most coarse grinders.
The Draken 2 can also be held upside down while grinding to achieve a finer grind.
Draken 2 - Is It Worth It?
This is a great grinder that will last a lifetime.
The design is simple and effective. The grind is coarse. The grinder will rarely need cleaning.
There's a lot to like about the Draken 2.
It's a great value at $100 after coupon.

The Draken 2 is a budget-friendly grinder with premium features.
The Brilliant Cut has been the #1 best weed grinder since 2018, when it came out.
The Old Mate and Cyber Grinders are threadless with a spinning ball bearing top.
All of these grinders are threadless, and the interface is basically the same!

I prefer a fine grind, which pulls me to the Brilliant Cut.
The BCG wins in interface and quality of the grind, but it's the most expensive weed grinder out there.
These other grinders are cheaper and work nearly as good, at a fraction of the cost.
