The Coma by Vices – BIGGEST Ball Vape

Good news, bad news. 5/7/2026
Good news is the Coma is way more capable than I expected it to be. This vape does fine with smaller amounts too!
Bad news is there's an issue with the vape head and its stand tolerance, causing the vape to get stuck sometimes. Production and sales have been stopped and the manufacturing tolerance is being adjusted.

The Coma: The Most Balls. Biggest Bowl.

This massive vaporizer houses 3500 gem-cut rubies as its thermal engine, and the equally-as-massive bowl holds a whopping 1.6 grams of green. Most ball vapes have 300-700 balls and their bowls hold .1-.3g. The Coma is capable of vaporizing 5x more weed than other ball vapes.

1.6 gram capacity bowls are not for everyone. This vape can vape smaller doses, too.

Early Coma Testing Notes

I'm four days into testing. The Coma is a lot more versatile than I original

The bowl holds about a gram without packing. That's 3-5x my normal dose.

I haven't tried using a completely full & tight pack, yet, because I'm saving that for Friday night's Troy and Jerry stream.

Lesser amounts do actually work. A single weed-scoop full of herb spread thinly accross the screen and tamped down vaped perfectly in one pull and produced wonderful vapor. Even when the screen isn't completely covered, it works without getting overly harsh. The "screen" is more of a metal plate with tiny holes in it and I think it's smoothing out the vapor when vaping smaller amounts.

The vape head gets stuck on the heater stand, especially on first heatup. My coil handle is bent significantly from trying to break it free. The titanium head gets stuck on the post because the post is expanding when it gets hot and siezing inside the vape head.

It's not that ridiculous

The vibe in the community has been shock and awe at the bowl size. Many have rolled their virtual eyes at the 1.6g bowl size.

The Coma bowl is the same size as the Volcano. They both hold a gram if you fill it, and 50% more if you pack them tight.

The bowl doesn't need to be filled. The Coma has a ton of convection power, it can vaporize small amounts, too.

Most joints are 1.25g and most blunts are 3g.

Airflow, Flavor & Potency

It's wide open and the flavor is good. I don't taste any off-putting flavors or taste any metal.

The convection power can be spotty on shorter hits, but there's plenty of power if you have the lungs.

If you don't have the lungs, don't worry, the Coma has a metal bowl that heats up when the vape is connected. Waiting 5 or 10 seconds before hitting it will preheat the bowl and herb, giving you a darker extraction even with small hits.

Bigger Bowl - Bigger Problems

The Coma bowl is large enough to potentially not fit into some bongs.

The lip of the bowl collides with the lip of the bong. It fits the rest of my 18mm glassware just fine.

Everlasting Screen has Pros & Cons

The giant Coma bowl doesn't use a typical mesh pipe screen. It uses a thicker metal plate with tiny holes to allow air flow.

This Everlasting Screen creates a different experience because it heats up on longer inhales. This allows you to use smaller amounts by spreading the herb thin and tamping it down.

It also falls out easily because it's not secured. The Coma ships with 3 of the Everlasting Screens, which makes it easy to swap out a dirty screen and pop in a clean one.

The Everlasting Screen is slightly harder to clean, but it's durable and will not fall apart or fray like a standard screen.

The Coma bowl screen is called the Everlasting Screen

When this screen gets dirty, the Coma's airflow is reduced. I can go about 2 days before cleaning the screen.

The thickness of the screen makes cleaning the little holes more tedious. I typically clean screens with a small brush and some isopropyl alcohol on a paper towel. Soaking may be a better option. I will update this review as I continue testing.

Is The Coma Right For You?

This vape ignores the trend of microdosing and maximum efficiency and delivers the maximum dosage instead.

If you're a smoker looking for a heavy hitting dry herb vaporizer, this one has the biggest potential dose.

This vape can clear a 1g bowl in one or two big hits. If that sounds like you, no vape will do it better.

There are ball vapes that smack most people around using .2g. This vape is made for parties and extreme dosers.

To be clear - I love it and I'll be sharing it often, but it won't be my daily driver.

Troy

I've been medicating with vaporizers, legally, since 2012. I started reviewing dry herb vaporizers and other cannabis products in 2015.

I fell in love with creating content around vapes and cannabis vaporization. I'm passionate about the topic and the community. I love bringing people together and I love helping them understand the ins and outs of vaping weed.
