Interplanetary Development Super Weapon Grinder Review

During Black Friday I shopped around looking for a new grinder. I’ve always had my eye on the 2.5 inch Super Weapon, they normally go for $50, but during Black Friday the SW was marked down to $20. I decided to add the Super Weapon to my collection!

I’ve used the Super Weapon for a long while now and spoiler alert, it is pretty legit! I dont like it as much as my SCS but it is still a solid grinder especially considering the price. The Super Weapon arrived in a small black and white box. Inside was a black cloth pouch with the grinder inside.

The Super Weapon is a 5 piece grinder machined out of a single block of aluminum. Normally it’s a nice bonus if a grinder has a keif catcher. The SW not only has a keif catcher, it came with a removable screen that’s incredibly well made. The removable screen has a thread pattern allowing it to secure tightly in place, I was very impressed with both the quality of the screen and how secure it fit! As an added bonus I was able to order a replacement screen as a backup.

Super Weapon Grind

One of the most important factors in choosing a grinder is the type of grind it produces. The Super Weapon offers a medium grind (which was exactly what I was looking for). Looking for a fine grind? Simply turn the grinder upside down while grinding.

Here’s how the Super Weapon grinds a gram of Tangie. The gram was kept at 62% humidity and no problem for the Super Weapon.

Super Weapon Weed Chamber

The weed chamber was one of my favorite features about the Super Weapon. It’s freaking HUGE! I was curious as to just how much weed the weed chamber could hold? To find this out I ground some OG Kush I vacuum sealed a few years ago.

Compact vs Full Size

One of the features that really appealed to me was the ability to remove the weed chamber/bottom screen and reduce the thickness of the Super Weapon by 50%! The reduced size came at a cost: the keif catcher.

Conclusion

If you’re someone looking for the greatest value and versatility out of your next grinder then the Super Weapon is perfect for you. The Super Weapon is almost a premium grinder but at a fraction of the price. If you don’t mind spending more and want a truly premium grinder I think you should go for the Santa Cruz Shredder.
