Freight Train Vaporizer by Old Head Trading Company

The Freight Train is a ball vape from Old Head. The inventor behind the Freight Train is the same inventor who brought us the Terp Torch – one of the very first ball vapes to hit the market!

The Freight Train is available in 3 slightly different versions. The Freight Train PRO is my favorite and currently winning my reach test over other vapes. The Freight Train PRO has a wide open airflow, hits super hard, and tastes absolutely wonderful.

TL;DR

All 3 hit hard and taste good. The Pro Engine has the best airflow and the other two are more restricted. The Fusion engine has a dab dish for double-decking, but the Pro Engine can vape dabs on top of herb bowls better than the others – and Twaxxing tastes better than Double Decking anyway. The PRO is the one to get.

Freight Train Pro bundle comes with the guard and a heavy duty vape stand, as well as the PID and injector bowl.

Freight Train Pro

Freight Train PRO Engine

The Pro Engine is my favorite option. It’s easy and elegant with an open and unrestricted airflow.

This vape is “Dry Herb Only” but can easily handle Twaxed bowls or even dabbing through the top holes if you’re brave enough.

The Pro Engine is one of the hardest-hitting and best-tasting weed vapes available.

Includes: Everything but the bong, weed, and lungs. The Pro Bundle includes the PID, Coil, Handle, Guard, Pro Engine, Pro Stand, and a Glass Injector Bowl.

Our Recommendation:

This is one of the best desktop vapes on the market. Unless you demand a dab dish or prefer a tighter, more restricted airflow, the Freight Train Pro is the one.  It’s wide-open and hard-hitting without sacrificing terpenes or flavor.

PROS:

Heavy Hitting Ball Vape

Open & Unrestricted Airflow

Pre-assembled Vape

Stable & Secure Stand

Works with fast or slow hits

Includes Coil Guard

CONS:

Dry Herb Only (no direct dab)

Exposed Hot Parts

Old Head Freight Train

Freight Train

Freight Train Flower Engine

The Freight Train is a desktop vaporizer designed for ultra-fast extraction and Thick-Ass Vapor.

Inside the titanium vape-housing reside about fifty 4mm ruby spheres – the secrete sauce to this vape and many like it.

The Old Head Freight Train is an e-nail PID driven vaporizer made to be used on a bong,

Includes: 18mm titanium vape head – 20mm e-nail coil – glass injector bowl (best in class) – Electronic temperature control – stainless steel stand

Our Recommendation:

This Heavy Hitting Ball Vape hits as hard as you’d expect for a vape named after a locomotive hauling vehicle.

The Freight Train hits hard AF and tastes amazing. It has a tighter restriction than many other ball vapes, which give it a unique vapor signature and experience tuned to convert smokers.

PROS:

Heavy Hitting Ball Vape

Less than $300

Tighter / Tuned Draw *

Pre-assembled housing

Solid & Secure Ball Housing

Includes Stand, Handle

Best Glass Injector Bowl

CONS:

Dry Herb Only (no direct dab)

Exposed Coil / Burn Risk

Less Agile / More Restricted *

* Yeah it’s both a pro and a con. Subjective. I’d prefer more open though.
Freight Train with Dab Dish (fusion engine)

Freight Train + Dabs

Freight Train Fusion Engine

The Fusion Engine  has the same dry herb potency as the Freight Train but with a quartz e-nail dish for dabs and concentrates.

It’s one of only two desktop vaporizers capable of a true double-decker.

Includes: 18mm titanium vape head – quartz dabbing insert – carb cap –  20mm e-nail coil – glass injector bowl (best in class) – E-nail PID/Temp Controller – Folded steel stand

Our Recommendation:

This is the best value in the desktop vape space. The Freight Train Fusion Engine is a dry herb vape that dabs and it’s cheaper than the B2 Flowerpot.

The Freight Train is a pure convection injector vape made for use on a 14 or 18mm female bong.

PROS:

Heavy Hitting Ball Vape

Less than $300

Tighter / Tuned Draw *

Pre-assembled housing

Solid & Secure Ball Housing

Includes Stand, Handle

Best Glass Injector Bowl

CONS:

Loose Dish / Drop Tek

Exposed Coil (Coil Guard Sold Separately)

Less Agile / More Restricted *

* Yeah it’s both a pro and a con. Subjective. I’d prefer more open though.
