The Fuji is an instant heating convection vaporizer with remarkable flavor and amazing battery life. It’s built in a bamboo body shaped like a little volcano and it’s the first battery powered portable capable of replacing desktop vapes.
The Fuji is $360 and it’s my favorite new dry herb vaporizer of 2026.

Camouflet Fuji checks a lot of boxes.

I can’t remember the last time a portable vaporizer has taken my full attention like this. Nothing in recent years has pulled me away from ball vapes – but the Fuji has kept my ball vapes unplugged for more than a month now.
It’s become my most used and favorite dry herb vaporizer. I’m excited to share it with people
* vapor path also contains ceramic (heater) and stainless steel (basket screens)
Camouflet Fuji Quick Verdict
The Fuji is a simple vaporizer with an easy interface and extremely pleasing vapor. The instant-on and instant-heating give this vape a massive advantage over desktop ball vapes. The Fuji doesn’t hit as hard as a ball vape, but its instant on interface makes reaching for it more appealing than a hot ball vape always on nearby or waiting 10 minutes for one to heat up.
The Fuji is ready as soon as you hit the button. And the full convection vapor is full-flavored thanks to its glass vapor path.
Fuji is one of the most flavorful dry herb vaporizers out there, and its battery life is better than anything I’ve ever tested.
The battery life is remarkable. I’m able to use the Fuji for several days of heavy vaping without recharging. The Fuji has two powerful 18650 batteries inside and the ceramic heater is extremely efficient.
The Fuji baskets hold .10–.25g depending on grind and pack.
My testing showed the Fuji performs best with .16g using fine grind, or .10g using coarse grind.

This vape has dominated my reach test and promises to reign as an around-the-house portable. The Fuji’s travel case makes it easy to carry this vape and its glass on the go – as demonstrated in my demo sesh video.
I’m thoroughly enjoying this vape and anticipate it landing a position on my best vaporizer list.
Fuji Review Table of Contents

What is the Camouflet Fuji?
Fuji uses convection, or hot air to vaporize dry herb. Intake air is heated as you inhale and the hot air vaporizes the THC and trichome heads as it passes through the bowl. The vapor travels through a glass bubbler or mouthpiece, cooling it down to comfortable temperature.
The Fuji also works with dabs and flower at the same time, too, but it’s best as a dry herb vape.
It has 5 temperature modes. I float between 3, 4, and 5. The Fuji can hit hard – extracting most of its bowl in a single hit if you’re capable of taking longer hits. Most people seem to take 2 or 3 hits per bowl.
Fuji is instant on and instant heating. Just hold the button when you’re ready to inhale – no waiting.
It has an open airflow with very little resistance. Drawing slow creates stronger vapor.
How it Works
Fuji uses these clever little basket screens as bowls. Each bowl has a smaller basket screen lid. The ground herb or whole nug cannabis goes inside.
Slip the filled basket screen into the hole of the glass nipple and place either of the glass mouthpieces, or whip attachment, onto the joint.
Hold the button while inhaling. Slow at first and speeding it up once vapor kicks in.

How Troy Hits the Fuji
The Fuji has a slight learning curve. Here’s how I get maximum vapor from the Fuji. I pack the bowl full, but not tamped.
.16g Loose, fluffy, no more, no less.
I’m typically on temp 4, sometimes 3 or 5.
I pick up the Fuji with my hand covering two of the three intake vents.
Holding the button, I put my lips to the glass and use my tongue, jaw, and cheeks to puff on the Fuji two or 3 times to get the vapor started. Once I taste or see vapor, I proceed to inhale slowly. I watch the glass to make sure I can see the vapor. If vapor thins out, I slow down my draw.
Build Quality & Design
The Fuji is an interesting device – it’s built inside a piece of bamboo! This natural wood-like material is fast-growing alternative to “tree wood” because it’s strong, durable, and eco-friendly.
Photos don’t do it justice. I thought it looked fugly until I held it in my hands.
It feels solid and high quality. The shape works well as a hand-held vape and looks surprisingly inconspicuous in public.
The bottom plate can be removed and its two 18650 batteries can be replaced without an engineering degree. The single-button interface is extremely simple, which matches the glass and bamboo material signature perfectly.
What’s Included
The Fuji comes complete. The $360 bundle includes everything you need to host a happening sesh.
- Fuji Vaporizer
- 5 stainless steel mesh capsules
- glass dry top mouthpiece
- glass bubbler mouthpiece
- female glass whip connector
- male glass whip connector
- whip
- USB-C charging cable

I’m typically not interested in vape cases, but the Fuji case has proven to be extremely useful. I’ve taken the Fuji out to several sessions using the case and it worked perfectly. The foam section on top is large enough to carry a grinder or even a different vape if you don’t need to carry the whip.

Vapor Performance
Fuji heats instantly and produces vapor best with longer hits. Users who prefer taking short hits will need to puff on this one a few times to get the vapor started.
The airflow feels open and comfortable. Using a slower draw at the start of the hit will speed up the extraction and produce thicker vapor. I like to inhale slow while watching the vapor through the glass. Once the vapor is thick enough to milk the glass I inhale faster to finish the hit.
The Fuji bowl holds 0.12-0.25g and finishes it in 2-5 hits.
I loosely fill with .16g and get one or two great hits per bowl.
Fuji Temp Mode | Celsius | Fahrenheit | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
1 | 160 | 320 | ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ |
2 | 180 | 356 | Low Temp / Flavor |
3 | 200 | 392 | Daytime Vaping / Flavor |
4 | 220 | 428 | One Hit Extraction / Flavor |
5 | 240 | 464 | One Hit Extraction / Injector / Twaxing |
Vapor Quality: Punch Flavor Volume Smoothness Scoring
The Fuji has a great flavor. The glass vapor path preserves the terpene flavor purity of the Fuji’s ceramic convection heater.
In my first few sessions I could taste some off flavors from the basket screens, but after two or three uses the flavor is clean and pure. The Fuji vapor leaves my mouth coated and stained with flavor. Temperature 3 and 4 are so terpy that the vapor will bring tears to my eyes on big hits.

Ease of use
The simplicity of the Fuji is why I reach for it.
The bowls are easy to fill. The vaporizer itself is extremely simple to load and operate.
Removing the glass top and replacing the spent bowl with a fresh one is quick and easy. Camouflet includes 5 of the bowl assemblies, which means you can have 4 of them packed and ready to go.
The vape only has one button. There’s no off or on – just hold the button when you want to vape. It couldn’t be simpler.

The Fuji’s glass mouthpiece and bubbler fit onto the vape using a standard 18mm glass joint – which means you can replace it with an infinite number of custom options. The vape can be inverted and used directly on a bowl, or with a whip, or with any number of 18mm glass attachments.

Maintenance is easy, too
The basket screens are very easy to maintain. When vaped thoroughly, the herb is dry and falls out of the bowl easily – especially if its still warm. Incompletely vaped bowls are gummy and sticky from leftover resin. I use a debowler with a built in poker tool when at home. While on the go I’ll gently massage the basket screen to dump its contents into an empty soda can or other trash can. Emptying the Fuji baskets only takes a few seconds.
After a few dozen bowls, the screens can be cleaned with a brush and some isopropyl alcohol. Soaking the screens is also an option. Cleaning all 5 of the screens can be done in 5 minutes or less.
The glass bubbler and dry top mouthpieces are also cleaned with alcohol and hot water – no brushes required. The bubbler is harder to clean than the dry top. The dry top is very easy to clean.
I’ve cleaned the inside of the Fuji’s glass injector two or three times with a damp Q-tip or an alcohol prep pad. It wasn’t very dirty, but there was a bit of residue.
Best Battery Life – EVER?
During the first several weeks of heavy testing, the Fuji routinely pushed through multiple days of vaping without charging.
The Fuji vaped 50 bowls on a single charge. Two hits per bowl. 15-20 second inhalations. Temp 4.
Fuji’s battery life is on another level. My formal battery test took 3 days of heavy vaping.
50 bowls per charge feels like a typo, but I’ve confirmed it twice. This vape has the best battery life of any portable vaporizer.

What I like
- Extremely good vapor. Fuji scored very high in Flavor, Punch, Volume, and Smoothness.
- INCREDIBLE Battery Life – 50 bowls per charge
- Capable of single hit extraction
- Instant Vapor. It’s ready at the push of a button.
- Simple Interface. Everything about it feels minimalist and natural.
- Easy to use. Fuji doesn’t make me think. Ever.
- Easy to clean. No special tools needed.
- Replaceable Batteries. There are 2 batteries behind 4 screws.
- Comes with a functional carrying case
- Customizable. The 18mm glass top makes my hydro-tubes usable again.
- USA Made – We don’t hear that often!
It outperforms most portables and any traditional desktop vaporizer. This vape has raised the bar!
What I don’t like
The cutout around the USB-C port is annoyingly tight. A bunch of my normal USB-C cables physically won’t fit into the Fuji’s charging port. The included cable works, and a reader has confirmed that standard Apple USB-C cables fit as well. It’s not a big problem, especially with the Fuji’s excellent battery life, but I wish the opening around the port were a little larger.
Stainless Steel Mesh Screens – as clever and convenient as they are, I’d much prefer to have a 100% all-glass vapor path. The steel mesh basket screens gave off a tiny hint of metallic flavor on their first few uses. I still consider the Fuji vaporizer to be one of the most flavorful portable vapes out there, even with these metal mesh screens. Perhaps there are even more flavorful upgrades in the Fuji’s future
Inhaling Slow – I prefer to inhale fast and hard. The Fuji needs a slower draw to make milky vapor. It’s not a deal-breaker because the interface is simple and the vapor tastes like heaven.
Fuji vs. Other Dry Herb Vaporizers
This is a unique vape that’s hard to compare to other herb vaporizers. It’s a portable vaporizer, but it’s not pocketable.
Other around-the-house portable vaporizers include the Arizer Solo 3 and Tafee Bowle 2.
Fuji is $90 more than the Arizer Solo 3 and worthy of the price difference. Solo 3 is a marvelous portable microdoser with an all glass bowl and vapor path, but the restriction is tight. If you prefer mouth to lung type hits, the Solo 3 will be better for you – but if you like taking long inhales with massive fluffy vapor clouds the Fuji is the way. The Solo 3 might win on a bong or in a pocket, but both of those are subjective. Click Here to see my Solo 3 Review
Tafee Bowle 2 has similar instant heating and it uses little ceramic pots instead of the metal mesh capsules. The Bowle 2 has a smaller dosage size. It’s little ceramic pots can only hold .05-.12g of herb. The Fuji capsule needs .12-0.2g. The Bowle is also a limited form factor, locked into its own stem and mouthpiece. The Fuji is much more flexible. It’s 18mm output will adapt natively to many bongs and hydrotube style bubblers. It can also be used with a whip or dry top mouthpiece. Fuji is also more affordable than the Bowle 2. Check out my Bowle 2 Review to learn more.
I actually reach for the Fuji. The Bowle 2 and Flaske are too small of a dose for me. They’re novelty vapes.
Fuji vs Frolic vs Tinymight 2
The Fuji’s vapor is better compared to powerhouse portables like the Limelight Frolic and Tinymight 2. These two vapes will both fit in a pocket, unlike the Fuji. All three of these vapes are in my top 10 best portable vapes.
Tinymight 2 is one of the few portable dry herb vaporizers that can rival the Fuji in the flavor department. Tinymight can be configured with an all glass bowl and vapor path, and its convection heater is even more powerful than the Fuji. The Tinymight heater takes 8-11 seconds to heat up while the Fuji is instant. The Tinymight will fit in your pocket and get you through 4 or 5 bowls per day. The Fuji needs a lunchbox sized case, but will get you through a day or two of vaping. The Tinymight has a removable battery and retails for about $350. It’s great option if you need it to fit in your pocket.
See my Tinymight 2 Review
Frolic is the most powerful portable herb vape out right now. It has massive airflow and its convection heater is optimized for a fast draw. If you want fast open draw with powerful vapor – the Frolic is the one to get. It’s not quite as flavorful as the Tinymight 2 or the Fuji, but it’s no slouch in the flavor department. Frolic tastes as good or better than the Storz & Bickel Mighty or Venty. The Frolic has a removable 21700 battery and it heats up in about 7 seconds
Who is the Fuji for?
I feel confident recommending the Fuji to all levels of cannabis consumer. It’s easy and potent enough for any casual smoker. It’s pure and powerful enough for dedicated and exclusive dry herb vape users – like me.
This vape is good for practically anyone, as long as they don’t need to carry the vape in their pocket.
The simple design lets the Fuji blend into the modern home. This vape is great for vaping herb anywhere in the house, or even on the go. The Fuji is easy to share, too.
I honestly cannot remember the last time I’ve enjoyed a new vaporizer this much. I’ve taken this vape to public sessions and everyone I’ve shared it with enjoyed it immensely.

Who should SKIP IT?
Obviously if you need something that fits in your pocket, this vape ain’t it. Look to the Venty, Frolic, Tinymight 2, or Lobo.
If you need a bong driver, the Fuji isn’t it. It can work with a bong with its whip or directly on a bowl, but there are better choices. Look into ball vapes if you want the ultimate vaporizer for a bong.
If you want to inhale fast and hard, you might want to consider the Frolic. I’m a fast and hard guy, too, and I’ve managed to find a place for the Fuji – but I also have 600 vapes on my shelf. I carry both the Froli and the Fuji at the same time.
Stoned & Sedated – if you want your vapes to turn you into a marshmallow, this vape might not be the best for you. Full convection tends to deliver a headier and spacier high. If you prefer body highs and sedative effects, look for conduction vapes.

Camouflet Fuji FAQ
Is the Fuji a Ball Vape?
No. The Fuji uses a ceramic heater with instant heat up.
Does Fuji hit like a ball vape?
No. While both vapes are powerful and flavorful, ball vapes deliver big hits with a fast and open inhale. The Fuji requires a slower draw speed.
Does the Fuji have a removable battery?
Yes, but it’s not designed to be serviceable – not swappable. The two batteries are concealed behind 4 security screws and they’re wrapped and soldered in a simple battery pack.
Can Fuji be used as an Injector Vape?
Yes! This vape can be used upside-down as an injector into an 18mm injector bowl. Use temp 5 and keep the slow draw technique in mind for best results.
How long does Fuji take to charge?
From mostly dead, the Fuji takes two or more hours to fully charge. There are two high capacity batteries inside. I’m OK with a slower charge since this vape lasts forever.
Who is Camouflet?
There a relatively new vape company with a few interesting vapes on their resume. They have a popular stick vape as well as a desktop induction device.
How much weed does the Fuji bowl hold?
With a fine grind it will hold as much as .22 but optimal load size is .16g
With a coarse grind the optimal load size is about .1g.

Is there a particular reason that you fail to mention the Frolic which heats as quickly and gives monster hits as a comparison?
i plan to compare the frolic separately, along with TM2 and Bowle.
frolic is pocket friendly portable – this is more of an around-the-house vape
I am an Apple user, and I can confirm 100%. The Apple cable works with the Fuji. That’s all I used to charge it with.
Thank you so much for confirming this!!!
