What’s New with the 2025 Puffco Proxy?
The New Puffco Proxy has the following upgrades over the previous version.

* The 3D Chamber is only heated on the sides. This allows the bottom to be cooler, preventing the oil from overcooking. Intake air splashes oil onto the sides for vaporization, and it returns to the cooler bottom in between hits.
First Impressions & Build Quality
Puffco has perfected the feel of the New Proxy. It feels made for my hand. It looks and feels great.
Fresh out of the box, there’s no funky manufacturing smell. I didn’t even clean it before I hit it – but you probably should.
The box is nice enough to keep and use as a case on the shelf. The box doesn’t make a great travel solution, though.
How it Hits
The New Proxy is enjoyable. It hits hard enough to qualify as a dab and soft enough to survive in a waterless rig.
At home, I’ll always prefer dabs on a real rig, with water and a fully heated terp slurper. But dabs on the go with the Proxy are tasty and convenient.
Smaller dabs work best, but it can handle surprisingly big globs!

Battery Life & Charging
The New Proxy upgrades to USB-C charging and a slightly larger battery. USB-C is much more common than Micro-USB. The newer USB standard will charge considerably faster, and its connection hardware is much more reliable.
Puffco claims the battery management has been improved, and I’d believe it. The chamber is slightly larger, and the New Proxy seems to outperform the old Proxy.
My old Proxy barely made it to 10 dabs. The New Proxy hit 12 in my first battery test, without any customizations.
Cleaning & Maintenance
These cup-style vape-pens are super easy to clean, and the New Proxy is no different. The joystick cap flips open with a flick of the thumb, giving easy access to the chamber.
I use 2 or 3 Q-tips per dab to clean up on the go, but you can get away with 1. I’ve even seen people re-use the same Q-tip for multiple dabs. Don’t do that, though.
Ecosystem & Accessories
The Proxy is a modular vaporizer. Puffco offers a full range of glass options to change the Proxy’s delivery method.
The Proxy can be used as a full rig, a steam roller, a microbubbler, or a dry pipe.
Is the New Puffco Proxy for you?
If you find yourself dabbing in your car or other similarly concealed environments, yes, the Puffco Proxy is for you.
If you’re vaping carts when you could be enjoying waterless dabs, yes, the Proxy is for you.
If you’re dabbing at home and enjoy massive rips without compromise, no, the Proxy is not for you.

FAQ
Does the Proxy 3D Atomizer heat from the bottom?
NO! The 3D Atomizer is only heated from the sides. Vaporization happens on the sides. The bottom of the chamber is intentionally cooler to retain flavor between hits.
3D refers to the heater fully surrounding the chamber. Many retailers and reviewers falsely claim the 3D atomizer is heated from both the bottom and the sides.
Is the New Puffco Proxy compatible with older proxy accessories and glass?
Yes! The New Proxy is backwards compatible with glass and accessories from the OG Proxy. It’s the same diameter, which means the old Proxy will also fit the new accessories.
Does the Proxy compare to a Terp Slurper?
Sort of, but no. They both produce delicious vapor, but the Proxy continuously and thoroughly heats the oil to generate it. A terp slurper shines on its first hit, as the oil melts into an aerosol and vaporizes as it’s heated and inhaled. Terp slurpers still taste better and deliver better effects.
Is the Puffco Proxy battery replaceable?
No, the New Proxy battery is not user serviceable. It’s charged via USB-C, but it cannot be replaced.
