4/20/2024—Arizer has launched an even better version of this vaporizer, the Solo 3. It is a considerably better option. It has a 15-second On-Demand heat-up and much more potency than other Arizer vapes. I’ve never loved an Arizer portable vape as much as I love the Solo 3. This new vape has even taken the #1 position on my portable vape rankings. See the full Solo 3 review to learn more – or continue with the beginner-friendly Solo 2 MAX.
Arizer Solo has been one of the most popular portable dry herb vaporizers since its release in 2011.
The Solo 2 was released in 2017, giving the Arizer Solo even more battery strength, a sexy display screen, and a sleek set of buttons as an interface. In 2024 Arizer added the Solo 2 MAX.
In this Arizer Solo 2 review video, I compare the Solo 2 and Air 2. The Arizer Air 2 has since been discontinued and replaced with the Arizer Air MAX and the Arizer Air SE.’

What Makes the Arizer Solo 2 and Solo 2 MAX Such Great Vaporizers?
The Arizer Solo 2 is a simple vape with a quick and easy interface. The glass stem serves as the bowl and the all-glass vapor path, which makes loading and unloading fast.
The Solo 2 heats up in about 30 seconds, which is pretty fast. Both the Solo 2 and Solo 2 MAX have massive battery power. The MAX can vape 12-15 bowls per charge and the standard Solo 2 can vape 9-12.
Glass stems are easy to clean. A quick shake of some isopropyl alcohol and some hot water and the glass is as fresh as day one. Harvesting the reclaim from the glass stems is also easy and immediately edible.
The Solo 2 gives a consistent vaping experience every time. It uses a microdose-sized amount of dry herb and efficiently extracts it over 8-12 minutes.
What I Don’t Like about the Solo 2 / Solo 2 MAX
The Arizer Solo is a slow session. It’s going to take a minute or two before the vapor thickens up and you’ll be vaping those same clouds for the next ten minutes. The flavor slowly progresses from good to great to meh to yech over 8 minutes and sometimes you’ll need to turn the vape back on to continue vaping.
As a daily user my tolerance is higher than a new user and I have to vape 3 or 4 bowls in a row on the Arizer to get adequately medicated. That’s a lot of vaping and it’s more throat irritation than I want to suffer through.
Arizer Solo 2 IS NOT FOR EVERYONE
If you’ve already built up a tolerance to cannabis, the Arizer Solo 2 may be a disappointing experience for you. Many traditional portable dry herb vaporizers like the Solo 2 use a slower extraction style of vaporization that leaves smokers and daily users yearning for a thicker vapor and a more potent hit.
Higher tolerance users need a vape like the Venty or the Tinymight 2 in the pocket and a heavy-hitting ball vape at home on their bong.

Both vapes are a unique blend of conduction and convection and offer the easiest daily and routine maintenance compared to other dry herb vaporizers.
Arizer recently lowered the price of these popular dry herb vapes by 25%.
The Solo 2 is now 135 and the Air 2 is no longer being stocked.
Arizer Solo 2 & Air 2 Vapor Taste & Quality Review
Many Arizer fanbois will argue that the Arizer dry herb vaporizers put out the absolute BEST tasting and most pure marijuana vapors. They’re certainly not wrong…
Both the Solo 2 and the Air 2 use the same hybrid heating and all-glass vapor path. The result is a dry herb vape that cranks out 8-10 minutes of tasty vapor without any plastic tastes or feelings.
The vapor from the Arizer products is easy. There’s no learning curve, just put the glass stem to your lips and inhale. The vapor is soft and gentle enough for a direct-to-lung inhale.
Arizer Solo 2 vs Air 2: Battery Power
Here’s where the real difference between these two dry herb vapes really presents itself.
The Solo 2 has an internal battery that can only be charged with the included wall charger. It’s a beefy battery and will power the Solo 2 through 10-14 bowls, but it will take a couple of hours to charge.
The Air 2 uses a removable 18650 battery and can be charged externally or internally. With a few extra batteries and an external charger, the Arizer Air 2 can become a perfect travel companion.
What I really like about the Arizer Air and Solo 2 is the simple maintenance. The ‘per session’ maintenance is as simple as blowing out the ABV. If you empty the stem while it’s still warm, there will be minimal cleanup required. I don’t even bother brushing. The vaporizer itself only requires a light brushing or q-tipping when dry herb ends up stuck in the oven. It doesn’t happen often.
Deep cleaning is as simple as soaking the stem in isopropyl alcohol. Or if you want a free trip to the moon, soak the stem in hot milk – drink the hot milk when the stem is clean.
Where to Buy Arizer Solo 2 / Air 2
Planet of the Vapes is an authorized seller here in the USA. Avoid non-authorized sellers, as there are counterfeits on the market. Buying from a legit dealer assures you’re getting the real thing and a valid warranty from Arizer.
Damn YouTube nuked you… glad to see you didn’t disappear altogether!
Yep, youtube isn’t cannabis friendly anymore :( Glad you’ve found me!
good to see that you still have this website. keep going! your content is very informative!
Is there an appeal process? Could the voices of your viewers be effectively directed toward anyone at YT? Is there a petition or something? In any case, keep up the great work.
Hi Walter! There was a single reply appeal form submission which was denied with a canned response. Youtube doesn’t give a shit about us :(
:(
Hey Troy! Greetings from Brazil! Nice to find you here! Thanks for your videos!
Troy man, I’m completely in love with you.
In a wholesome, albeit *high*, kind of way.
Appreciate your work!
it happens! Thank you for the love!
Thanks to your videos I bought two different Arizer, the Extreme Q and the Air 2. I love your videos !
Thanks
Hi Troy , love to watch you on youtube. I have allergy issues and find the mighty too “airy” which triggers the coughing. This is not just a bikel Tickle. Vapes I’ve tried all cause coughing. Conduction vapes effect me less probably because of the restricted pulls when I hit them. With some mods I was able to get My flowermate v5 mini pro to hit the way i want but thier battery sucks.
So, more convection or conduction?
