FREE THC EDIBLES: Making Stem Milk by Harvesting Vaporizer Reclaim

One of the secret benefits of vaping weed instead of smoking it is in the form of reclaim.

Now I know what you’re thinking, desperate smokers have been harvesting reclaim from gunked-up pipes and bongs for decades, if not centuries, but reclaim from vaporizers is different.

Let me say that again with the little orange thingie, reclaim from vaporizers is different than reclaim from smoke.

Reclaim from Dry Herb Vaporizers is THC Honey

Don’t just rinse it away, that shit is money.

THC honey in vaporizer reclaim is rich in THC and cannabinoids and it still has flavor! Unlike smokers reclaim and pipe resin, the honey-like reclaim from dry herb vaporizers and dab rigs is clean and pure.

Vaporizers extract cannabinoids much more effectively than combustion. Smoking cannabis destroys more than half of the THC and other cannabinoids. Smokers reclaim contains byproducts of combustion. Reclaim from a vape is clean and pure.

Video Demo: Hot Medicated Cocoa Cleaning Method

In this video I demonstrate how easy it is to harvest the THC honey while infusing the THC into drinkable hot chocolate.

Some Vapes Make Harvesting THC Honey Easy

The Arizer portable vapes are champions of this cleaning method, often referred to as “stem milk”. The Arizer Air and Solo 2 portable vapes both have an all-glass bowl and vapor path in the form of a simple glass stem.  The one-piece stem can simply be tossed in a shallow pan of hot milk.

But they’re not easy enough to be worth harvesting. Some dry herb vaporizers don’t collect enough reclaim to be harvested and others let too many tiny organic particles through the screen, making the THC honey dirty and gritty.

Dirty vape reclaim can still be harvested and ingested, it’s just not as easy and not as tasty. Filtering out the tiny organic particles for a drink would need a paper filter, but a paper filter would also catch any undisolved oils. I’d rather ingest those oils.

Cannabis Hardware Haze Pipe – This one isn’t technically even a vaporizer, it’s a cooling pipe mouthpiece for a very powerful vaporizer. The Haze Pipe is made for ball vapes, which are the most powerful type of dry herb vaporizers currently available. This “pipe” is modular and made to fit the Cannabis Hardware cordless ball vapes. It’s also compatible with several other vaporizers, including the Terp Hammer.

Haze Pipe for Flowerpot Shovelhead compatible vaporizers
The Haze Pipe is an alternative to bongs and water pipes. The glass-lined stem is filled with Ruby spheres to rapidly cool the hot vapor from high-powered ball vapes. The Haze Pipe is a great alternative to a bong. The pipe and balls can go weeks without cleaning while a water bong needs to be rinsed daily.

Best Dry Herb Vaporizers for THC Honey Harvesting

Some vapes make this super easy. Some don’t. This is a list of all the best dry herb vaporizers for harvesting THC reclaim and making free THC edibles.

Arizer Air SE is available in blue or white

Arizer Air Max / SE

The Arizer Air is a nice little portable vape that uses an all-glass stem. After a few weeks of usage, the stem will be lined with THC Honey that is easily harvested.

Arizer Argo

Arizer ArGo

My favorite Arizer portable! The ArGo is much smaller and uses a micro stem. I like to get 5 or 6 ArGo stems dirty and harvest them all for a super strong Space Milk.

Storz & Bickel Venty, Mighty, and Crafty vaporizers can all be harvested for THC reclaim

Venty, Mighty, Crafty

The Storz & Bickel Venty is the #1 rated portable dry herb vaporizer. Their whole line of premium portable vaporizers uses high-temperature medical-grade PEEK in the vapor path and cooling unit.

The honey harvested from Storz portables isn’t as clean as the glass Arizer stems, but the process is similar.  The oil will contain small flecks of dry herb.  Replacing the stock cooling unit screen with a finer mesh screen will produce cleaner reclaim.

POTV One Vaporizer

PotV One & PotV Lobo

Both the Lobo and One vaporizers from Planet of the Vapes use a glass cooling stem that collects honey.

Reclaim can be harvested using the above Stem Milk method by simmering the glass stem and stainless steel screen in milk.

These glass pieces are smaller and won’t collect as much honey as the Arizers, so it may not be worth it for you unless you have multiple cooling stems.

Epic Vape E-Nano Desktop Log Vaporizers come in 2 different woods

E-Nano & E-nano XL Log Vapes

Epic Vapes E-Nano is a desktop dry herb vaporizer that uses glass stems similar to Arizer portables.

The glass stems collect reclaim and can be quickly and easily cleaned in a hot pan of milk.

Dynavap Vape Shop

*SOME* Dynavap Stems

Big asterisk on this one! Default Dynavap setups will be using a metal condenser tube.  These tubes collect honey and grit, but they’re not worth harvesting unless you have a low tolerance or harvest multiple tubes at a time.

Alternatively, the Dynavap tip can be used on all-glass stems and glass water pipe adapters. These all-glass Dynavap stems are great for collecting and harvesting THC honey.

Do not attempt with wooden Dynavap stems

Collecting Reclaim from *any* Ball Vape is possible by simply using a dry catch or even a bong without water.

I've been medicating with vaporizers, legally, since 2012. I started reviewing dry herb vaporizers and other cannabis products in 2015. I fell in love with creating content around vapes and cannabis vaporization. I'm passionate about the topic and the community. I love bringing people together and I love helping them understand the ins and outs of vaping weed.

how long did it take to get 8 oz of milk “cooking” your stem milk? I only got a couple glass stems from my LOBO that are crudded up lol, so I was curious how long it would take. I’m kinda very impatient lol and don’
t wanna “scorch” or burn the milk lol.

It can take a few minutes, especially if there is a lot of organic build-up in addition to the oil. I usually keep the temp lower than simmering so I don’t risk burning anything
