I break down dry herb vapor quality into three categories: Vapor Flavor, Vapor Potency, and Vapor Comfort. These three vapor qualities can be closely related and easily conflated.

Vapor Flavor (Scale 1 – 10) – This is a score of how “true to the terpenes” each vape tastes. I cross-compare all of the vaporizers to taste the differences. Vapes that score higher than 9.5 are considered exceptional. Anything 9 or above is pure and true, with no muting or alteration of flavor.

Vapor Potency – My Vapor Potency score ranks each vaporizer on how quickly and evenly it can extract. The quality of extraction and potency of the vapor are crucial to me. I don’t like weak vapor or slow sessions.

Vapor Comfort – This score has a lot to do with vapor cooling and the materials in the vapor path, but the draw restriction and harshness of the heater have a massive impact on this score. I’m looking for smooth vapor with minimal heat and no harshness.
